Week 3 of classes done!

This week was a productive week at school as I completed my first projects for both Intro to Weaving and screen printing for Textiles.

In weaving, we were asked to create a 72" by 12" cloth using a floor loom and testing as many weave patterns as possible. I had a great time learning all the different weave patterns as well as playing around with color and texture!

In screen printing class, we were asked to print a repeating pattern using the 'leap frog' method of printing. We made paper stencils to print through and had to use at minimum three colors which we mixed ourselves. The cotton we printed onto was 72" by 36", making it quite the area to cover!
